Day 348 December 16th The cucumbers I plant in the garden have to be encouraged to climb. Their natural tendency seems to be to curl around on the ground. However, those that I leave in pots reach for the sky. Perhaps the roots send up a message that there is not much room down below so the best bet is to head north.
